When the bank launched a new digital banking service in October, it came with features we’d like to make sure you’re aware of.
Turn Debit Card On and Off
You can turn your debit card on and off in the “Manage Cards” section of digital banking. If you have a joint checking account or more than one INB debit card, you may need to tie these additional cards to your online account.
Here are the steps to follow to tie all of your debit cards to your digital account.
Download Transactions as PDF
You can download:
- Individual transaction items
- Individual schedule Move Money transactions
- Individual history Move Money transactions
This icon indicates the download option is available.
Pay Multiple Payees Efficiently
If you have several bills to pay at once, you could benefit from the multi-payee indicator. When you get to the “Choose a Recipient” screen inside of bill pay, click on the icon of two people. Check boxes will then appear next to you payees. Select as many as you like and continue with the Move Money workflow.
Bill Pay Chat
If you have any problems with Bill Pay, you can use Bill Pay’s like chat feature to get help. The service is available Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 1 a.m. Central Time.
Make Bill Payments from Multiple Accounts
Your bill payment is defaulted to make payments from your checking account. You can add other accounts under your INB digital profile. Then when you pay your bills, be sure to choose the account you wish to pay from.
View Deposit Details
When you make a deposit to your account, or when an organization such as your medical spending account vendor makes a deposit, you can easily see the details. Just click on the deposit in your digital account, and you’ll see copies of the items.
Jamie Singer, VP, treasury services manager, says this is a nice feature because it’s easy to forget what was included in a deposit you recently made. She adds we all have lots of things going on, and now there’s one less thing you need to commit to memory.
View Pending Transactions
You can also view pending transactions for your account, including transactions for your debit card, ACH and checks.
Your pending transactions are located at the top of current posted transactions. By having your pending transactions available, you can see the running available balance in your account with those transactions being debited and/or credited. Click on any item, and you will see a description, date, and ending balance of your account.
This will be handy feature, says Jamie, providing a better picture of an available account balance. Of course, we always recommend you keep a check register so you know exactly how much money you have to spend and avoid any overdraft fees.
Search More Easily
You can now search your activity by:
- Notes
- Categories, date ranges (both pre-defined and custom)
- Custom amount ranges
- Dollar amount
- Check number
- Descriptions
Click on the magnifying glass symbol to open the search feature.
Communicate With Us
The “Messages” tab in digital banking allows you to securely send us a question or ask for support.
We’ve even provided a number of forms which allow you to give us all the information we need to put your request into action. The forms include:
- Adding a Debit Card to Profile – This allows you to request access to additional cards to turn on and off from your digital account
- Add Sub User Request – Give others access to your account(s)
- Change of Address
- Debit Card Request – Request a new or replacement debit card
- Reorder Checks.
Securely Send Attachments
You can attach and send confidential documents to the bank. For example, you can send your commercial lender a tax document.
This new feature allows us to exchange sensitive documents with you in a simple and highly secure way. Greg Floyd, vice president, deposit operations explains, “Behind your login within online banking, there will be a portal that is basically like an inbox. This will give you the capability of attaching documents. Previously, we had to use a separate system with additional ID and passwords, but our new digital banking system integrates it all.
“Once you’ve identified yourself and logged in, we can then freely send documents back and forth within your digital banking portal,” Greg said.
Attach Documents and Photos
Confidential documents are not the only thing you can attach inside digital banking. You can attach documents or photos to any of your transactions as well. Mark Donovan, senior vice president, commercial lending says: “If you purchase an item with a warranty, you can take a picture of your receipt and warranty and attach the pictures in your online banking account and not have to keep paper copies. Your photo will stay with that transaction for 24 months, and the amount of attachments you can do is basically limitless.”
