In 2003, with a baby on the way, Charlie Kerwin found himself on the hunt for a new job. He quickly found INB was a great fit for him.
“One of my former peers was on an engagement with INB at the time and recommended me for a new IT position,” Charlie recalls. “And even though I hadn’t been here very long, INB was very gracious to me about taking time off when my baby was born a few months later. That was over 21 years ago, and that same culture of kindness has persisted.”
At INB, we strive to put people first. Charlie has not only given two decades of his career to maintain the security and safety of INB clients… but he never stops pushing himself to stay ahead of the curve in technology.
Now, we’re excited to announce that Charlie’s dedication and hard work have earned him a promotion to Senior Vice President, Director of Infrastructure, Compliance, and Tech Support!
In this new role, Charlie will take on leadership responsibilities for INB’s network infrastructure and IT compliance, as well as manage our tech support team.
Over the years, he’s played a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and security of our infrastructure – which often overlapped with both compliance standards and the work done by our help desk team. Now all three of these important services will be managed under Charlie’s leadership.
It’s a challenge he’s ready to tackle.
“From an IT perspective, INB has always provided loads of new challenges and opportunities. I also get to work with a great group of people every day across the organization,” Charlie shares.
Charlie has demonstrated exceptional leadership in his time here, along with valuable technical expertise and an unwavering commitment to our mission.
Even though Charlie is largely behind the scenes, he always puts INB customers and employees at the forefront of each project.
“I’ve always loved seeing a project achieve its goal and starting to see the impact it has for our employees and customers,” he says. He also finds joy in sharing his knowledge with others.
“I love seeing that ‘aha’ moment in others when they discover something new,” Charlie says. “That could be rolling a new or upgraded system out or even sitting in a meeting and showing someone how to better use something we already have.”
Charlie is thrilled to continue his journey with an organization that maintains its community feel and person-first culture, even as we grow. He’s looking forward to stepping into this new role.
“I enjoyed working on the security team, but I still have a passion for technology and the positive impact that it can have,” he shares. “I’m most looking forward to finding ways to continue to grow INB and grow the positive impact that the IT team has on INB!”
Congratulations Charlie!
