Chloe Stone of Mt. Pulaski High School and Genevieve Anning of Riverton High School were recognized as students of the month by the schools’ staff in September.   

Both students are in the running for the $500 Senior of the Year award sponsored by INB.

Activities:

  • Volleyball – four years
  • Basketball – three years
  • Softball – one year
  • Yearbook – two years
  • Art Club – four years
  • Family, Career and Community Leaders of America – one year
  • Drama Club – three years
  • Club ball coach – four years

Honors include:

  • Lettered in basketball, volleyball and softball

Community activities:

  • Chloe volunteers her time for the Zion Lutheran breakfast, club volleyball coach & multiple events for the public library.

Future plans:

Chole plans to attend college to become a travel nurse or a certified registered nurse anesthetist.

In Mt. Pulaski, the Senior of the Month program is sponsored by Conaway Handyman Service and Downing, Przykopanski, Clements & May Insurance Agency, Inc. INB sponsors the Senior of the Year Program at the school.

  • Student Council vice president – three years
  • Math team – two years
  • Key Club vice president – three years
  • Book club – one year
  • Softball – one year

Honors include:

  • National Honor Society
  • Student of the month
  • Student of the week

Community activities:

  • Volunteered 200 hours at the hospital over two years.

Future plans:

Genevieve plans to attend college to pursue a four-year degree in biology and then attend medical school.
