Kari Saling knows the teamwork it takes for the whole team to succeed. After all, she spends many of her nights and weekends supporting her two sons as they play year-round competitive sports.
And it’s not all that different from what Kari does on a daily basis for INB.
“I always want to step up as needed for our team, so they can rely on me,” she says.
Thanks to Kari’s dedication, she was recently promoted to Assistant Vice President of Loan Administration.
Kari first started at INB in 2005 and has held multiple positions in the Commercial Department over the years. She has become well-versed in construction draws, loan documentation, running reports and booking loans.
More Markets, More Responsibility
As INB has expanded into St. Louis and South Florida, Kari has taken on additional responsibilities.
“I have taken on a few new responsibilities to help Missy Elam (Vice President of Loan Administration) and get them off her plate. I really try to be someone that my coworkers can come to with questions,” Kari says.
She’s always willing to help whenever the rest of the department needs her, says John Wilson, INB’s EVP/Chief Lender.
“She has really stepped up and taken the initiative to help other processors with their questions and help them solve their problems,” John shares.
Training new employees on various loan procedures has become a major part of Kari’s job now – and something that she really enjoys. She looks forward to continuing these responsibilities in her new role.
“I get to meet and really get to know the new employees and what works better for them; then I can adjust how I train them to better fit their style,” Kari says. “I’m excited to continue this work and support the Commercial department the best I can. We all work well together and have a good support system going.”
