For Norma Conrady, changes keep life interesting. That’s why INB has been the ideal place to work for her.

“We are always moving forward at INB with new technology and ways to make things easier, faster and better for our customers,” Norma shares. “Funds transfer, like wires, has changed so much in the last decade that you can never be bored. There are always new things to learn and new things coming.”

Norma’s diligence in staying at the forefront of new technology and keeping in step with all of the changes has earned her a new promotion. She is now Deposit Operations/Wires Officer for INB.

34 Years in Banking

Norma started her banking career in 1989 at Bank of Modesto as a teller and then moved to First of America as a commercial teller until she was quickly promoted to run the entire commercial vault.

Norma has called INB home since 2001 when she started as a teller supervisor at Montvale branch and then helped open the North Dirksen branch. She has spent more than 15 years in Deposit Operations and has become an expert in many areas that support our largest corporate clients.

INB’s wire volume has grown with our expanding customer base, and Norma has led the wire team by creating more efficient processes and going paperless during the COVID pandemic. Her value to our clients is only outmatched by her value to her coworkers who witness her hard work, reliability and constant willingness to help.

“I really enjoy all the people I work with; I think being here more than 20 years now says it all!” Norma says.

She spends her weekends around her favorite people, too. In her free time, she loves to go out with friends and family.

“I am also a dedicated reader; my Kindle is always in use. I love Agatha Christie and mystery books,” she says.

So Much More to Look Forward To

Looking forward, Norma plans to continue to help INB stay innovative by expanding our international payment options. She recently worked to create a process to accept Canadian check items electronically, rather than require customers to send expensive overnight mailings (which also caused delayed availability of funds).

Norma’s knowledge in banking and attention to detail is a huge asset to INB.

“The promotion came as a wonderful surprise,” she shares. “I’m proud that my supervisors put me up for the promotion. They have always been supportive and so complimentary of my work.”
