Summer, baseball and kids are a winning combination. Let’s add INB to the mix as we team up with the Normal CornBelters this summer to help kids make the most of local play. Baseball logo

INB is sponsoring Corny’s Kids Club. Our sponsorship helps make the program affordable . . . and even free if you open an INB youth savings account for your child with a minimum of $10. Or you can join for $25 at the stadium or on the CornBelters website.

Kids club members get:

  • A ticket to every Sunday game
  • Custom Cornbelters baseball card
  • Corny's Kids Club membership card
  • Mini Corny bobble head
  • Corny coin bank for savings
  • 15% discount in the team store during game

More About the CornCrib

The multi-purpose CornCrib ballpark is on a 22-acre parcel of the Heartland Community College campus. The artificial turf field and removable pitching mound help make the facility perfect for all kinds of events including concerts and high school football.baseball field

The facility, with a 2009 groundbreaking and a cost of $9 million, includes luxury suites, 4,500 fixed armchair seats, and room for 3,000 patrons in the wrap-around grass berm. The large entry canopy behind home plate has the feel of a food court and also features an unobstructed view to the action on the playing field.

The Illinois Corn Farmers holds the naming rights to the venue and chose The Corn Crib.

The Normal CornBelters started playing baseball at the Corn Crib June 1, 2010. Eleven years later, the team is still playing ball. The team took the 2015 West Division Championship, before an ownership change moved the Cornbelters into the Prospect League in 2018.

INB Sponsorship a Home Run for Kids

While baseball is great entertainment, the sport also offers lessons in everything from patience to failure. By teaming up with INB, Corny’s Kids Club members get a chance to learn about saving money.

Kids can enter the club for free (Free is good! Another good lesson!) by opening a youth savings account with INB.  They can then use the Corny coin bank they get as part of their club membership, and start saving change to deposit in their new savings account.

Parents can help kids understand the value of saving. We offer some savings tips in the post.  Any of our bank staff would be happy to sit with you and your child, help open an account, and make the experience one they’ll remember.  And if you open the account at our Bloomington Branch, we’ll make your child a member of the Corny’s Kids Club, too.
