Caroline Jachino joins our senior of the month crew due, in part, to participation in cross country, basketball, track, Beta Club, National Honor Society, Cardinals Ambassador and secretary/treasurer of the school science club.

Scholastically, she’s equally impressive.  She’s been a top German student for three years, received a World History Award, Honorable Mention Scholastic Art Award, Freshman English Award, won individual third place in chemistry at Worldwide Youth in Science and Engineering (WYSE) sectionals, was a team member of the first place regional and sectional team and on the fifth place state team for WYSE.

Babysitting for the last three years has also kept her on her feet.  She’s also worked water stops at the Abe’s Amble 10K and Lincoln Presidential Half Marathon every year since being a freshman.

She plans to attend Creighton University to major in pre-med studies and run cross country and track.  She is the daughter of Tony and Rachel Jachino of Pleasant Plains.

The Senior-of-the-Month Program is sponsored by INB. Monthly winners receive a $50 award. Winners are selected for this honor based on the criteria of scholarship, leadership, service, and character. They are also in the running for the $500 Senior-of-the-Year Award also sponsored by INB.
