Madelyn Haddick, senior at Pleasant Plains High School, worked very hard to achieve a high GPA. In return, she has been awarded the Lincoln Merit Scholarship from the University of Illinois Springfield and the Redbird Scholarship from the Illinois State University. Both schools are now in the running as the college of her choice. She plans to study special education with an emphasis on learning and behavior.
Madelyn is Pleasant Plains High School’s Senior-of-the-Month for November. Madelyn is a member of the National Honor Society, beta club, science club and Cardinal Ambassadors. She has been a cheerleader for three years.
The Senior-of-the-Month Program is sponsored by Illinois National Bank. Monthly winners receive a $50 award. They are also in the running for the $500 Senior-of-the-Year Award also sponsored by INB. Madelyn, daughter of Shelley and Brian Haddick, was chosen as the November Senior-of-the-Month based on the criteria of scholarship, leadership, service, and character.
