With a goal of becoming a pulmonologist, Will Drake spends many hours dedicated to his studies. He makes time to take part in Worldwide Youth in Science and Engineering (WYSE), and science and beta clubs. He’s been recognized with membership to the National Honor Society and received first place at regionals and took third place at sectionals in the WYSE program. Pleasant Plains High School faculty recognize and applaud Will for his hard work and chose him as the October Senior-of-the-month.
Even with his studies, Will has found time to play football, where he served as the team captain, and take part in student council as class president.
Will plans to attend the University of Illinois (UIUC).
The Senior-of-the-Month Program is sponsored by Illinois National Bank. Monthly winners receive a $50 award. They are also in the running for the $500 Senior-of-the-Year Award also sponsored by INB.
