Old Brickyard Grill - feature artAt The Old Brickyard Grill in Mt. Pulaski, the delicious food keeps customers coming back so often that the restaurant’s kitchen is open nearly all day.

“Our cheese balls are a hit, and our horseshoes are our claim to fame,” said owner David Mister. “On Friday and Saturday nights, we also have steaks and crab cakes, shrimp and scallops.”

The Old Brickyard Grill serves up not only burgers and steaks but also breakfast items, with hours open from 7 a.m. until 10 p.m. every day except Sunday. Sunday hours are 7 a.m. until 8 p.m., and the restaurant is open 365 days a year, with reduced hours on Thanksgiving and Christmas.

The Old Brickyard Grill opened Nov. 1, 2013 in a former bowling alley on the Mt. Pulaski Square. The restaurant also caters to large groups, Mister said.

“We have a full scale bar with a separate dining room where we can host wedding receptions, rehearsal dinners and private parties; we have a lot of class reunions in the fall,” he said.
