No nuts?  No problem.  MSG?  Never!  A special dietary need?  Let the staff know.

With an attitude like that, it’s no wonder most of Asia Grill’s customers are repeat customers.  While Manager Kathy Chen says the kitchen staff can fill any special need, the extensive menu works for most people.  INB’s Commercial Loan Officer Kim Turk typically orders chicken fried rice.  Sade Boyd, a universal teller here at the bank, and I get the shrimp Lo Mein.  All the orders come with an eggroll or crab Rangoon and rice.  We order at least every other week.

Chen says Crab Ragoon is a very popular appetizer, as are pot stickers.  When it comes to main courses, she says, “People are looking for something a little strong.”  That’s why their pad tai selections are a customer favorite.  As are yellow curry dishes.  And Panang curry.  If you’re looking for something with a little less kick, she says the fried rice dishes and Mongolian beef are ordered often.

Chen and her husband started Asia Grill five years ago.  He primarily works in the kitchen along with the chef.  She primarily manages the front of the house.  One of them is there each morning before 10:30 a.m. and another is there until about 12 hours later to lock up for the night.

It’s that small business commitment that makes Asia Grill’s customers keep coming back.  We order from them at least every other week.  Everyone in the branch enjoys it and will usually join in on the group order.  The food is always hot and fresh, and the service is quick.  On top of that, the lunch specials are only around $6 each.
