Kurtis Hoock, son of Gayle Hoock of Mt. Pulaski, has been named January Senior of the Month at Mt Pulaski High School (MPHS). He was selected for this honor based on the criteria of scholarship, leadership, service, and character.
While at MPHS, Kurtis has participated in Scholastic Bowl, Spanish Club, Spirit Squad, and Book Club. He is also a three-year member of National Honor Society. He has spent two years on the Golf Team, Science Olympiad, and WYSE. He also served one year on the Prom Committee.
As the January Senior of the Month, he will receive a $50 award paid to the college he attends. Kurtis plans on being a finance major at Illinois State University.
The Senior of the Month Program is sponsored by Johnson’s Food Center and Johnson True Value Hardware. All Seniors of the Month are eligible for the $500 Senior of the Year Award sponsored by INB.
