Donovan-SchaeferTwo INB employees were recently reappointed to committees with the Illinois Bankers Association (IBA).

Mark Donovan, senior vice president, commercial lending, will continue to serve on the Illinois BANKPAC Board. This board governs the association’s non-partisan Political Association Committee. Donovan (NMLS# 662887) and other committee members are charged with enhancing the value of association membership by providing financial support to state and federal elected officials and candidates whose views and positions on banking issues are compatible with the interest of the banking industry.

Marilyn Titone Schaefer, assistant vice president, communications director, was reappointed to the IBA’s Communications and Marketing Committee. As a member of the committee, Schaefer will review IBA communication vehicles such as the Illinois Banker magazine, e-newsletters and website, and make recommendations for enhancements and improvements, while providing feedback on IBA communications practices. The committee also reviews the IBAs public relations efforts and suggests ways for the IBA to better serve as a resource to its members.

The IBA is the voice of Illinois’ banking industry. The full-service trade association is dedicated to creating a positive business climate that benefits the entire banking industry and the communities they serve. Founded in 1891, the IBA brings together state and national banks and savings banks that, when combined, employ over 100,000 people in nearly 5,000 offices across the state. According to the association, Illinois-headquartered banks and savings institutions safeguard more than $341.5 billion in deposits and extend more than $225.8 billion in loans to consumers and businesses.
