DeRosa,, Mikayle C241She’s an Illinois State Scholar, member of National Honor Society (NHS) and has her name on the Riverton High School’s High Honor Roll. Now Mikayle DeRosa can add “November RHS Student of the Month” to her resume.

Mikayle has already used these credentials to secure a spot at Indiana State University as an honors student where she’ll major in biology with a specialization in medical lab science.

When not studying, Mikayle keeps busy with Key Club, student council, Hawk Pride and NHS activities. She also played soccer and volleyball for three years while in high school.

This RHS November 2016 Senior of the Month is the daughter of Todd and Andrea DeRosa.

The Riverton High School Student of the Month Award is sponsored by Illinois National Bank (INB). Mikayle was chosen for the award by the staff and faculty of RHS based on attendance, academics, effort, conduct, cooperation, dependability, leadership, school involvement, and service to others. She will receive $50 from INB and will be eligible for 2016-2017 Student of the Year honors at graduation.
