Alyssa Stauffer is this month’s senior of the month for Mt. Pulaski High School. She was selected for this honor based on the criteria of scholarship, leadership, service, and character. In addition, she is the recipient of the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FFCLA) Community Service Award, been named to the honor roll all year, and visited Haiti for life-changing mission trip in the summer of 2016. Alyssa spends most of her time involved with many school activities including FCCLA, drama and Spanish clubs, year book and prom committees, band, chorus and Science Olympiad.
Alyssa plans to attend Johnson University in Knoxville, Tenn. to study Education.
The Senior of the Month Program is sponsored by Johnson True Value Hardware. Monthly winners receive a $50 award paid to the college they plan to attend. They are also in the running for the $500 Senior of the Year Award sponsored by Illinois National Bank.
