Riverton High School faculty and staff applaud Shea Lanier, the September student of the month. Shea has accomplished so much in her years at RHS. Thespians, All-district band (4 years), National Technical Honor Society, Honor Band, Math Team state qualifier and National Honor Society to name a few.
Shea is very involved with many different groups and activities; including: student council, Sangamon Valley Youth Symphony, Sinfonia, Animal Protective League volunteer, Teen Against Drugs And Alcohol (T.A.D.A.A), Teen Court, Engineering club, Spanish club, Hawk Pride, pep band, school plays and musical productions.
Having decided to minor in music and theatre, Shea plans to attend college next fall.
Shea was chosen as September student of the month by the staff and faculty of RHS based on attendance, academics, effort, conduct, cooperation, dependability, leadership, school involvement, and service to others. She will receive $50 from INB and will be eligible for 2017-2018 Student of the Year honors at graduation.
