Senior, Treisten Fagan, is a State Scholar and now November Student-of-the-Month for Riverton High School.
Treisten splits her free time with student council, yearbook committee, and scholastic bowl and plans to run for the track team in the spring. Because of her involvement with student council, she is a second year member of the local Illinois Association of Student Councils – district CENOIS (schools in Sangamon, Logan, Christian, Montgomery, Macon, DeWitt, McLean, Piatt and Moultri). She serves as the group’s webmaster.
Treisten is also a proud member of the National Society of High School Scholars. NSHSS recognizes high school scholars by offering unique learning experiences, scholarships, valuable internships and so much more. To ensure future success, NSHSS helps students identify and use the gifts they’ve been given.
After graduation, Treisten plans to join the U.S. Air Force in Cyber Systems Operations while pursuing a degree in programming and animation at Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia.
Treisten was chosen as the November Student-of-the-Month by faculty and staff based on attendance, academics, effort, conduct, cooperation, dependability, leadership, school involvement, and service to others. She will receive $50 from INB and will eligible for 2017-2018 Student of the Year honors at graduation.
