Elle Lanier is not your average high school student. She is an Illinois State Scholar and avid volleyball player who has landed on first all-conference team, SJR all-prairie team, Sangamon county all-tournament team and awarded Wendy’s school student athlete. Elle is also the February student-of-the-month for Riverton High School.

She is also a member of the National Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society, math team, engineering club, Spanish club and Hawk team. When Elle isn’t playing volleyball or working on her studies, you can find her in the dance studio.

Elle plans to attend Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. She was most recently accepted into the honors engineering program.

Elle was chosen as the February student-of-the-month by faculty and staff based on attendance, academics, effort, conduct, cooperation, dependability, leadership, school involvement, and service to others. She will receive $50 from INB and will be eligible for 2017-2018 Student of the Year honors at graduation.
