After INB began to expand in the Champaign-Urbana market by providing commercial and mortgage loans, one thing became clear: We needed a full-service branch.

That began the intense journey of choosing a location, building a fantastic team and officially planting roots in the community. This month, that process transitions to a new journey as we throw open our doors to welcome customers to our newest branch in downtown Champaign.

“We had been in the market for several years with commercial lending as well as loan production from an office in southwest Champaign. After seeing success in those areas, we wanted to establish a full-service branch in downtown Champaign, which continues to grow and thrive,” said Evan Westlake, vice president, commercial lending for INB who helped lead the expansion project.

Location, Location, Location

At the corner of Neil and White, the new branch resides at 217 S. Neil St. (Suite C), which is along a major city thoroughfare. The bustling downtown scene is directly to the north of the branch.

Nearby eateries beckon for a taste, from Radio Maria to Guido’s Bar and Grill to DESTIHL Restaurant and Brew Works. And nearby, there’s a proposal for a new sports/ice hockey arena for the University of Illinois.

“We have high visibility in a popular area,” Evan said. “Our new branch breaks the mold in the banking world and is perfect for Champaign – it’s modern and vibrant.”
