INB Modernizing Drive-up Banking


Since our founding 25 years ago, INB has focused on using technology to improve our customer banking experience. From debit cards and ATM machines back then, to today’s digital banking tools, technology continues to transform banking. And we’re getting ready to launch our latest transformation …  Interactive Teller Machines (ITMs) in our South Sixth Street Branch drive-up lanes.

To complete the transformation, our drive-up banking lanes are closed at this location for the next few weeks. The work should be complete by mid July.  The ATM in the drive area may also be out of commission for a few days, but our plan is to quickly get it up and running as we continue readying for this banking change. During this time, please park and come inside!

Bank-Wide Change

Over the next year and a half, we plan to deploy ITMs across our branch network. Keep an eye on your email inbox for important updates regarding construction and drive-up closures and re-opening dates.

While we are modernizing drive-up banking, we’re not changing our commitment to service. ITMs offer all the convenience of ATMs PLUS the option to talk face-to-face with a video teller during regular bank hours. This improvement allows us to provide drive-up service in a more convenient way and give customers access to conduct more transactions 24/7, continuing our commitment to make banking easy. 

With our ITMs, you will be able to conduct many of the transactions as you do in our drives today.  Several of these transactions can be done without the need for a video teller, allowing for an easier, faster experience.  However, you can have the assistance of a video teller by simply pushing the help button.   Video tellers are available 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday and 9 a.m.  to noon on Saturday.  You’ll likely see some familiar faces when you choose to talk to a video teller. Our video tellers are INB employees and are based in Springfield.

What this Will Look Like

When visiting our South Sixth Street location after mid-July, you will have several options.  You can use the new ITMs in our drive-up lanes, drop your transaction in our 24-hour drop box, or step inside the branch from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday.

If you simply would like to drop off your transaction, consider using our 24-hour drop box.  You can drop transactions at any time.  Transactions dropped before 5 p.m. Monday-Friday will be processed that same day.
