Manny Mikaelson, MBA, Enrolled Agent,
Osaic Institutions Wealth Associate INB Wealth Officer
Manny Michaelson was born in Kansas City, Missouri (and yes, he’s a Chiefs fan!), but grew up in the Chicagoland area. While his early years were marked by uncertainty, he was adopted by one of his teachers, who has been a tremendous inspiration to him and instilled in him a life-long love of learning.
“I’ve always clung to education. I’m a first-generation college grad, twice over, and I love learning,” he shares.
That passion shaped both his career and education. Manny earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Millikin University and an MBA from University of Illinois Springfield before becoming an enrolled agent. He began his career in public accounting – focusing on not-for-profit audits – before joining a syndication firm, where he advanced from underwriter to a senior analyst on the tax credit and compliance team.
In 2023, Manny took a leap of faith and purchased a tax business of his own. When INB acquired his company, TPH Strategies, in 2026, Manny joined the INB Wealth team, bringing together his tax expertise with the bank’s wealth management services to provide clients with comprehensive financial guidance.
“The client-focused approach and growth opportunities for clients is what drew me to INB,” he says. “The opportunity to combine wealth and tax and to continue building on what I’ve created is exciting!”
Manny is also deeply involved in the Springfield community. He serves on the Executive Board and Resource Development Committee for United Way, as co-chair for Impact Life, secretary for Springfield’s Old Capitol Art Fair, and treasurer for Land of Lincoln Goodwill. He’s also an ambassador for the Springfield Chamber of Commerce and an adjunct professor at University of Illinois Springfield. In 2026, Manny was named one of Springfield Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 in recognition of his professional and community leadership.
When he’s not at work or volunteering, Manny enjoys painting, reading comics, and playing his alto saxophone, which he’s played for more than a decade.
