Nathan Van Zele,
AVP, Deposit Operations
Nathan can answer just about any question thrown at him – and if he can’t, he’ll direct you to the right person.
This trusted, solutions-oriented approach has helped him build strong, lasting relationships with customers. “When customers call me directly about different banking needs, I love when I can help them resolve a problem. And even if I can’t, they know I will steer them to the person who can,” Nathan says.
As AVP, Digital Banking Manager, Nathan leads initiatives that enhance the digital banking experience for both consumer and business customers. He focuses on improving functionality, security, and overall customer experience across INB’s online and mobile banking, digital payments, and card services. With knowledge of banking operations that runs deep, he collaborates across departments to make sure customers have the online tools that make it easy to manage their finances.
Nathan began his career working part-time for Independent Bankers Bank while attending college, gaining early hands-on experience in banking. After earning his degree in Business Administration from the University of Illinois-Springfield, he joined Bank One (now Chase) in the ACH department, where he worked with direct debits and payroll processing. He joined INB in 2004 in the Internet Banking Department, and since then, he’s taken on a variety of roles related to both retail and business banking.
Outside of work, Nathan considers being a father to his two daughters his greatest accomplishment. A proud member of the Pleasant Plains community, he enjoys raising his family there with his wife, Lindsay, who also works at INB!
