Kim Turk,
AVP, Commercial Lender, Peoria
NMLS # 662915
Kim Turk grew up in Canton, Ill., and moved to Peoria in 2000 to attend Bradley University. While earning her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management, she discovered the banking industry.
During college, Kim worked part-time as a teller for MidAmerica National Bank. After graduation, she joined the bank’s year-long management trainee program. “I really enjoyed the commercial lending department, so I focused on that side of banking as well as the construction side,” she says.
In 2007, Kim joined the INB Peoria team as a loan processor, where she was able to work alongside two former colleagues from her MidAmerica days. She was promoted to Commercial Loan Officer for INB in 2014.
Today, Kim serves as Assistant Vice President, Commercial Lending. She handles all commercial construction loans in the Peoria-area market, finances residential rehabilitation projects, and assists the mortgage department with residential construction loans.
“I enjoy the people I have met during my 25 years in banking and the relationships that have been formed,” she says. “I have known most of my customers for 20 years.”
Community involvement has long been a priority for Kim. She joined Peoria North Rotary Club in 2023 and now serves on the Rotary Foundation Board. Rotary has opened many opportunities to give back, and Kim volunteers twice a month at Elise Ford Allen Academy as a Reading Buddy with first grade students. She also enjoys attending local fundraising events that benefit the NAACP, EP!C, and Girl Scouts, and she volunteers regularly at Midwest Foodbank.
Kim and her husband have one son, and she always looks forward to spring when she can cheer him on during his lacrosse games. When not in the stands at lacrosse tournaments, she loves to travel to visit friends and to relax at home with her husband and two dogs.
