When he was young, Kory Esslinger developed an interest in banking and was always curious about how things worked behind the scenes. Today, he’s part of the team that makes that behind-the-scenes service run smoothly, helping customers as a Customer Care Consultant for INB.

“My favorite part of my job is seeing all the different customers and all the different transactions we do on a daily basis – and knowing we’re making a difference to people by helping to make their lives easier in this hectic world,” he says.

Kory was born in Springfield, Ill., and grew up around the Springfield and Riverton areas. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with friends and his three cats (Inky, Carmen, and Little Bit), listening to music, attending sporting events and concerts, and playing video games. A creative writer and songwriter, Kory is working on his own original music and hopes one day to release his first recording for friends and future fans. He also enjoys writing stories, particularly crime and murder mysteries with paranormal elements.

Kory was drawn to INB for its strong sense of family and positive workplace culture. He knew early on that he wanted to build his career at a place where he could support people and genuinely improve their day. His favorite quote, by Margaret Mead, reflects his dedication: “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed people can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.”
