Courtney has fond memories of growing up and working in her family business, stocking shelves, dusting, filing, shipping orders, and other duties as assigned. This later grew into answering phones and waiting on customers as they came into the store.

Eventually, Courtney was given a territory to manage as an account manager. She began to make cold calls, something she says really tested her people skills.   Once the business was sold Courtney went into retail management.

Eventually, Courtney longed for eight-hour work days, so she entered the world of banking, working with INB Mortgage Lender Deena Smith at another institution. When Deena moved to INB, she introduced Courtney to Debbie Shelton, and Courtney took a position with INB.  Courtney served in our retail locations for many years before joining our Customer Care Center team.

Courtney says she has always preferred local banks because she never wants her customers to feel like a number. She believes in being authentic, approachable and making the customer feel like they matter.
