Austen Floyd,
Customer Care Consultant
Austen Floyd has played golf his entire life, a sport that has taught him patience, discipline, and the importance of staying focused.
Today, he brings those same qualities to INB as a Customer Care Consultant, where he enjoys helping customers and finding solutions to their everyday banking needs.
A Springfield native, Austen attended Springfield High School, where he played varsity golf all four years. After high school, he continued his education at Lincoln Land Community College before transferring to the University of Illinois Springfield to study Business Administration.
Before joining INB in 2026, Austen gained experience in customer service, retail, leadership, and team-based roles, including working as a stock crew leader, retail associate, and café associate.
“Each of these customer-facing roles helped me build strong communication skills and a dependable work ethic,” he says. “I love bringing that same mindset into my role at INB.”
Since he grew up in Springfield, Austen liked the idea of working for a company that has a strong local presence and is community-minded, which he values.
“I was drawn to INB because it seemed like a great opportunity to grow in a professional environment while still being able to connect with people every day,” he says. “My previous work experience centered on customer service, teamwork, and helping people, so this role felt like a natural next step.”
Outside of work, golf continues to be a big part of Austen’s life, so he’s often out playing on the course whenever he can. He also enjoys spending time with family, watching sports, playing video games, and exploring creative outlets like music and content creation.
