NMLS # 662877

Since beginning her banking career in 2001, Cayla Keyes has held roles in nearly every facet of the industry, giving her deep expertise and a valuable perspective. Today, she leads INB’s Retail Sales division as Vice President, Retail Sales Manager, overseeing branch management, consumer lending, data analytics, product development, and sales and outreach strategy. In this role, she focuses on developing and implementing revenue-driving initiatives, strengthening sales processes, and optimizing branch-level performance to support both growth and exceptional customer experience.

A native of Virginia, Illinois, Cayla first started at a mortgage facility as a pricing analyst, before moving on in 2004 to associate banker and trust assistant. She joined INB in 2009 at the Pleasant Plains branch as a full-time customer service rep while attending night class as a full-time student at Robert Morris University. She graduated summa cum laude from Robert Morris in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Management. Following graduation, she took on a new role as a Personal Banker, which incorporated consumer lending responsibilities.

In 2011, Cayla was promoted to an Assistant Branch Manager at the Pleasant Plains Branch, before moving into the Branch Manager role at INB 6th St. and the downtown drive facility in 2016 and eventually taking on her current role in 2022. Over her time at INB, she’s been instrumental in elevating the bank’s vision.

“Each position has allowed me to experience different facets of banking, shaping my hands-on, holistic approach to leadership, team development, and customer service,” Cayla says. “The opportunity to work in so many areas of banking has shaped the leader I am today. INB truly is the best place to work – and to bank! I’m proud to support our leadership team’s vision and the work we do for our customers and communities.”

Cayla is committed to continued professional growth and education; she’s a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin–Madison and holds a Certificate of Executive Leadership from the UW School of Business. She’s also a graduate of Leadership Springfield, which strengthened her understanding of the challenges and opportunities within the Central Illinois region.

Outside of the bank, Cayla is deeply engaged in community service, currently serving as president of the Pleasant Plains CUSD School Board and as a board member of the Brandt Foundation.

Cayla and her husband Brett have three children. With two now grown and one still active in school and sports, much of her free time is spent supporting their busy schedules. She also enjoys connecting with friends, participating in community events and fundraisers, and taking beach vacations. “My favorite beach destination is Negril, Jamaica, where Brett and I were married and a place that continues to inspire my love of travel,” she shares.
