Nick Horton grew up in Sherman and continues to call the community home, where he lives with his wife and their two children.

A 2009 graduate of Williamsville High School, Nick went on to earn dual degrees in Finance and Management from Benedictine University at Springfield in 2013. He began his banking career in 2011 as a part-time teller at Illini Bank. After graduating from college, he was selected for the bank’s management trainee program, gaining experience in both the credit and mortgage departments before advancing to relationship banker and later branch manager in 2015.

Nick joined INB in 2016, initially working in the credit department. After a year strengthening his credit expertise, he moved into a full-time commercial lending role in 2017.

Today, Nick serves as VP, Commercial Lending, focused on building strong relationships and helping local businesses grow and succeed. He appreciates INB’s strong collaboration and the accessibility of the leadership team, which allows him to respond quickly to client needs.

Outside the office, Nick loves traveling with his family and exploring new places. He enjoys spending time working outdoors on his property, golfing, and coaching his kids’ various sports teams. He is also actively involved in the community, serving as a board member for Girl Scouts of Central Illinois and the Affordable Assisted Living Coalition.
