For Todd Weir, helping people feel supported throughout the home-buying process is what matters most. “I want the people who come to the bank for a home loan to know first and foremost I’m here to help them make buying their home a great experience from start to finish,” he shares. “And after they move, I want them to know I’m still available.”
Todd takes his commitment to availability seriously. He especially encourages first-time homebuyers to contact him early and often, so they can fully understand the home buying process and stay on track.
“Friends tease me about my banker’s hours, but I assure them they don’t want my hours!” he laughs. “I give all of my clients my cell number and tell them to call or text whenever they need me. Real estate brokers work weekends, so I need to be available when they’re working.”
A native of Rushville, Todd attended Lincoln Land Community College and Western Illinois University. Before his decades in mortgage lending, he spent 13 years in the automotive industry, most of that time in finance.
Todd has always enjoyed helping people, which makes INB Mortgage a natural fit for him. “INB allows me to treat my clients like people and not just a number,” he says.
Todd called Chatham home for 20 years while his three children attended Chatham/Glenwood schools, and he now lives in Springfield with his wife, Jami Winchester, a successful Realtor/Partner with The Real Estate Group. Todd’s eldest son, Troy, currently works alongside him as a loan officer assistant and is learning the business with the goal of becoming a mortgage officer himself.
Todd and his family are all die-hard Dallas Cowboys’ fans and enjoy watching the games throughout the season. He and his sons never turn down a chance to see their favorite “hair bands” when they’re on tour – Motley Crue, Poison, KISS, and Def Leppard, to name a few – while he enjoys country concerts like Kenny Chesney and Carrie Underwood with his daughter. When their busy schedules allow, Todd and Jami enjoy traveling, spending time at their pool in the summer, golfing, and cooking out with family and friends.
