As a financial advisor, Amy Barnes aims to be one of the most trusted and valued resources for her clients – whether she’s providing guidance and education, helping to plan for college and education expenses, preparing them for retirement, or saving for a rainy day.

Amy serves as Vice President at INB Wealth and a registered representative of Osaic Institutions, Inc., guiding clients to a solid financial future through comprehensive wealth management and planning. This includes sophisticated investment advising and estate planning for High Net Worth and Ultra High Net Worth clients, as well as customized, multi-generational financial planning and decision-making support to advance family legacies.

From tax planning to investment portfolio oversight to business succession planning, Amy is part of a dedicated team that provides a specialized suite of services and protections to support INB Wealth clients.

Amy earned a bachelor’s degree from St. Ambrose University and an MBA from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. Her resume includes time in the Air Force and a decade of experience working for a Fortune 500 company prior to joining INB. 

She holds Series 7 & 66 securities registrations, state life & health insurance license, the Accredited Wealth Management Advisor (AWMA®) designation from the College for Financial Planning, and Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) certification.

Amy joined INB Wealth because of its collaborative culture and shared commitment to putting clients first. She finds fulfillment in helping individuals and families reach financial milestones and creating plans that support their long-term goals.

Amy is also passionate about and involved with her community. She completed the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce Leadership Springfield training program in 2020 and the O’Shea Builders Emerging Leaders training program in 2023. Over the years, she has served as a trustee for the Village of Annawan, IL, an ambassador for the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce, a board member for the Springfield Zoological Society, and a board member for Community Child Care Connection. She has also been a member of Rotary, Kiwanis, the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), and Illinois Women in Leadership (IWIL).
