It would be easy to feel overwhelmed when most of your department is out—especially on a Friday, with the temptation to let the work slide into the next week.

But that’s the opposite of what happened when INB’s Loan Operations staff found themselves on a nearly empty floor one Friday afternoon.

“Due to vacations and illness, there were just four of us – me along with Molly Siebert, Melodey Charles and Jason Filipiak – available that day,” recalls Caleb Parker, Loan Servicing Specialist.

Even so, the work definitely didn’t stop coming in.

“We were so busy, but we held it down. I can still remember how quiet it was that you could hear everyone just working… keyboards clacking, papers shuffling, calls being answered,” Caleb says. Why such dedication?

Caleb was proud not only of how much work was done for customers that day, but also how his coworkers rose to the occasion. Referencing how they all sit together in middle row cubicles, he sent a message of recognition to the group that read: “Middle row holding it down on a Friday!”

Caring for Customers

We also love when our customers notice and appreciate that level of care. Recently, Cayla Keyes (VP, Retail Sales Manager) saw a handwritten thank you note from a customer about Naomi Salter (Relationship Banker & HSA Specialist).

The note read:

"I wanted to reach out and let you know Naomi Salter has been outstanding to work with. I first met her when I applied for a HELOC after meeting with INB Wealth. Her customer service is one of the best I have ever encountered. She has been so sweet, patient, kind and helpful.

After my phenomenal experience with INB Wealth and Naomi, I decided to switch all of my banking to INB! I just wanted to give her the recognition for how well she has treated me as a customer."
