John Wilson was born in Springfield and grew up in Williamsville. After graduating from Williamsville High School, he went on to earn a bachelor of arts degree in economics from Sangamon State University.

John’s career in banking started behind the window as a drive-up teller for Magna Bank. From there, he steadily worked his way through multiple departments at several area banks, gaining a deep understanding of the industry from the ground up.

In 2011, John brought that wealth of experience to INB, where he now serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Lender. For John, banking has always been about more than numbers – it’s about helping customers reach their goals and supporting his team in their work. “I enjoy working with the customers and employees to provide them with solutions that best fit the situation,” he says. “I have a great staff and support areas are excellent.”

Outside of work, John enjoys fishing, hunting, and working under the hood of a car. He’s also a lifelong Disney enthusiast, and living in Clermont, Florida, keeps him close to Orlando – perfect for family trips to Disney World, where one of his two daughters works.
