Alysse Hewell,

AVP, Director of Marketing and Communications

Born and raised in Springfield, Alysse Hewell brings a local-first mindset to her role as INB’s Director of Marketing and Communications, helping to grow a bank with strong Springfield ties into a name recognized throughout the communities INB serves.

Alysse is a graduate of Indiana University, studying marketing and journalism (with a focus on public relations) before launching her career in Chicago at Nickelodeon’s Kids & Family digital advertising division. She became well-versed in digital strategy and consumer targeting at Nickelodeon, working on national campaigns for brands like LEGO and McDonald’s.

After marrying her husband Steve, the couple relocated to Springfield — an idea Alysse had fully mapped out by the end of their honeymoon flight. “I knew I wanted to raise our family here and be close to home,” she says. They now have two children, Leighton and Graham, who keep them busy with sports and activities.

Before joining INB in 2025, Alysse spent 11 years at Troxell Insurance Agency as Chief Experience Officer and Marketing Director. She’s now leveraging that experience to shape strategic marketing, branding, and storytelling at INB.

Outside of work, Alysse serves her community as an Ambassador for Hope School and enjoys Pilates and playing in a weekly women’s golf league. She’s an avid traveler – frequenting Kiawah Island and Florida – and loves exploring the local food scene, especially favorite spots like Indigo, Curate, Vele, and her “guilty pleasure” Taco Gringo!
