After 20 years of working together, Kelly Raison is certain: you can’t ask for a better coworker than Becky Beadle. Not only does she make coming to work fun and energetic, but Becky has an infectious laugh that makes it impossible not to join in.

“And just for fun, mention the word ‘hippo’ to her,” Kelly laughs, “because she hates the song I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas!”

With the holidays in full swing, thankfully Becky will not have to endure being taunted by her team with her least favorite song - as she has officially retired!

Becky has had a long, fulfilling career of banking in the Chatham community. She first started as a teller at Palmer Bank in Chatham and stayed on when INB acquired that bank in 2002, earning a promotion to Customer Service Representative.

Since then, she’s become a cornerstone of the INB Chatham branch, most recently serving as a trusted Relationship Banker.

“I’ve made many good friends from working at INB, both customers and co-workers. We’re like family and have many customers that love to come in just to talk,” Becky shares. “The best part of my job is building trust with my customers and helping them with their financial needs.”

Making Every Customer Feel Valued

Amanda Donley, Chatham Branch Manager, has worked with Becky for 18 years and acknowledges how much Becky has shaped her own INB experience.

“Becky has a genuine love for helping people,” Amanda says. “She has built trusting relationships, understands people’s needs and has made every customer feel valued and supported. Customers return to her again and again because they know she genuinely cares.”

Kelly, who is VP/Retail Operations and Process Improvement Manager for INB, agrees and notes that the impact of Becky’s retirement is already clear.

“We have several customers sad to see her leaving. Customers absolutely love her and are loyal to her; they will leave and come back just to make sure that Becky is the one to take care of them,” Kelly says.

When Stacy Danenberger joined the INB Chatham team in April 2024, she found Becky to be one of the best people to learn from in her new role.

“Having been here for so long, she is such a wealth of knowledge,” Stacy shares.

She also echoed Kelly’s sentiments about Becky’s humor: “I don’t know anyone else who is as quick-witted and able to joke about herself the way that she does. We laugh and have so much fun here, and I am going to truly miss seeing her every day.”

Amanda sums up what many are feeling: Becky’s retirement marks the end of an era.

“And while we will miss her presence in our Chatham Branch, we are deeply grateful for the legacy she leaves behind,” Amanda says. “The difference she made can be seen not only in the success of the bank, but in the lives of the people she touched along the way.”

Next Up for Becky

So now what for Becky? No major plans, she says – but she is excited about enjoying a more flexible schedule with simple joys ahead!

“I am just looking forward to getting up whenever I want, reading, drinking coffee and spending more time with my husband, Warren and our two cats, Jade and Pearl,” she says.

Congratulations on your retirement, Becky, and thank you for your laughter, leadership, and years of service!
