When Madchen Johnson was approached about a newly created role at INB, she began talking with our leadership team – and quickly realized it was an opportunity she couldn’t pass up.

We’re excited to officially welcome Madchen as AVP, Consumer Lending Manager at INB!
“I am looking forward to building a strong Consumer Lending presence in the community, while also developing my team into leaders,” she says.
Madchen’s career in banking began at Wells Fargo, where she started in a call center, worked her way up to a client relations role, and later, moved into underwriting and management. Most recently, she was part of the team that completed valuation products for the bank.
“I have a passion for helping customers and getting them in the house of their dreams, or helping them keep their home and prevent foreclosure,” Madchen shares. “I’ve had the privilege of traveling all across the U.S. working directly with customers, sales, and teams for collaboration and growth of the organization.”
While she’s spent a lot of time around the country, her roots are in Central Illinois. Madchen grew up in Carlinville, but her family relocated to Florida when she was a senior in high school. She missed the Midwest, however, and quickly moved back to the area.
While living in Evansville, Indiana, taking classes at the University of Southern Indiana, Madchen worked at Chili's – and eventually decided to transfer to the Springfield Chili’s location in the late 90s. In Springfield, she met her husband, Tim, and the couple raised their two children: daughter Kaelyn is now 20 and works as a teacher at a daycare in Kansas, and son Cale is a senior at New Berlin High School.
Over the years, Madchen has given back to her community in a variety of ways, including involvement with Big Brothers Big Sisters, and she looks forward to engaging in more volunteer opportunities now that her children are older. In her free time, she also enjoys reading, riding a motorcycle with her husband (“getting wind therapy on two wheels!” she says), and spending quality time with her family and friends.
We’re glad Madchen embraced this new opportunity at INB, and we look forward to the expertise she brings to INB and our clients.
“With my 20+ years in the mortgage experience, I am excited to take my big bank experience and use that to grow our community with a more customer-focused experience,” she says.
Welcome, Madchen!
