Abby Botz and her husband recently bought a classic car – a 1966 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 convertible – and joined a classic car club that hosts car shows.

“These cars are just so awesome,” Abby says. “I love going on long drives with the top down, relaxing and enjoying the ride.”

Abby has also enjoyed a long ride at INB, starting in August 1999 as a Trust Operations Manager. She then became a Trust Operations Officer in 2005.

“Looking back to when I was first contacted about joining INB, I did not hesitate to accept this opportunity,” she recalls. “I was excited to be a part of starting up the trust department and Operations and being a part of the INB team.

And the ride just got even more exciting: we’re excited to announce that Abby has been promoted to VP & Trust Operations Officer!

With INB from the Bank’s Early Days

In her 25 years at INB, it’s clear how much of an asset Abby is to INB. And her functions continue to broaden.

Abby has not only helped the trust department to grow, but she’s also done a great job implementing a management control program and ensuring the overall compliance of the Trust department.

We continue to receive exceptional audits from both our internal and external auditors, thanks largely to Abby’s abilities, knowledge and attention to detail. She also does a tremendous job handling the daily operational aspects of the department.

“My favorite part of my job is the research and problem solving,” Abby says. “I like the challenge that comes when issues arise and I can start digging for solutions or answers as to why this happened, so I can get it fixed.”

Cherishing Classic Friendships

Abby also enjoys the connections she has made with INB vendors, as well as the relationships she has built with money managers, brokers, and of course, with INB clients. She looks forward to fostering those connections and continuing to grow the trust department.

Just like the friendships she’s found in her classic car club, she sees an open road of possibilities for the future of INB.

“I am very excited about my promotion and look forward to continuing in my role and working on streamlining processes to find ways to make them more efficient,” Abby shares.

Congratulations, Abby!
