Maryann PhillipsINB is excited to announce Maryann Phillips as the new Branch Manager of our North Dirksen Parkway Branch. Maryann brings a wealth of experience in the banking industry and a commitment to fostering both employee growth and customer satisfaction.

A Perfect Fit: Career Goals, Company Values, and the Customer Experience

Maryann began her career in banking in 2014, where she trailblazed a career path into branch management that landed her at INB.  She was drawn to the INB position to continue fulfilling her career goals. She explains, "The role aligns with my career goals, skills, and experience, and the company's values."

With extensive experience in managing customer experiences, Maryann is eager to further brighten the INB customer experience. "Getting to know the customers, including what they want, how they think, and what makes them tick, will help me better serve their needs with suitable products offered by INB," she notes.

Coaching with a Clear Objective: Internally and Externally

When it comes to coaching and developing her team, Maryann believes clarity is key. "Establishing the objective is the beginning of any coaching interaction," she shares. She values timely feedback and support from her team, whether through regular, bi-weekly, one-on-one sessions or on-demand coaching for urgent matters. This approach ensures her team is always aligned with the branch’s goals and expectations. "How I would inspire my team is to lead by example, hoping to inspire a spark in them if they are looking for further growth no matter their age," she said, underscoring her belief in the importance of continuous learning.

Maryann has a clear and effective way of helping customers improve their financial well-being. She begins by taking a close look at their current situation, then identifies areas for growth, crafts a tailored plan, puts it into action, and finally, reviews the results, celebrating successes along the way. Her approach is both thorough and personalized, ensuring that customers receive the best possible guidance.

Community Engagement and Organizational Alignment

Maryann’s involvement in community organizations such as the United Way and Springfield Urban League demonstrates her commitment to making a positive impact beyond the workplace. She is also on the board for Compass for Kids and Nehemiah Affordable Housing. "INB values align with several of their visions, and I’m hoping that INB takes the initiative to support these organizations," she shares. Her deep community ties and passion for the common good will continue to benefit both the North Dirksen Branch and the broader community.

Commitment to Personal Growth and Team Inspiration

Maryann is dedicated to both her professional responsibilities and her personal development. She’s a graduate of the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Springfield and a Toastmaster’s member. She is working to become a loan signing agent.  In her free time, she loves to design t-shirts and scrapbook.  Her ideal wide-open weekend is spent relaxing next to her husband and two fur babies, Zeus and Achilles.
