Griffin King is nearing the end of his high school career and was recently named the March Student-of-the-Month for Riverton High School. He’s been on superior and regular honor roll, plus two-time baseball honorable mention award winner. Griffin plans to study science at Lincoln Land Community College, then enlist in the Air National Guard and attend Illinois State University.
He plays varsity baseball and is a member of Hawk Pride, Hawk Team, National Honor Society, and the Sangamon CEO program.
Griffin, the son of Jeff and Debbie King, was chosen for the honor by faculty and staff based on attendance, academics, effort, conduct, cooperation, dependability, leadership, school involvement, and service to others.
The Student-of-the-Month Program is sponsored by INB. Monthly winners receive a $50 award. They are also in the running for the $500 Student-of-the-Year Award also sponsored by INB.
