Cayla Keyes, Vice PresidentWhen Cayla Keyes first began working at INB in 2009, she was “in awe” over the collaborative and helpful culture.

“I had been in banking for many years prior to coming to INB, and unfortunately, had not experienced that in the past. It was very refreshing!” she says.

During her years at INB since, Cayla has been given opportunities to assist with a variety of projects to help elevate the bank’s vision and work toward new goals. And her dedication to achieve those goals has not gone unnoticed.

INB is thrilled to announce Cayla was recently promoted to vice president, branch manager.

Full-time Career and Full-Time Student

While she now leads INB’s South 6th St. branch in Springfield, Cayla started her career at the Pleasant Plains branch as a full-time customer service rep while attending night class as a full-time student at Robert Morris University.

She graduated summa cum laude from Robert Morris in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Management. Following graduation, she took on a new role as a personal banker, which incorporated consumer lending responsibilities.

In 2011, Cayla was promoted to an assistant branch manager at the Pleasant Plains Branch where she assisted her mentor, Marsha Shomidie (VP, Branch Manager for Pleasant Plains), in the daily management of the staff and branch. In 2016, she moved to the INB 6th St. branch as assistant vice president, branch manager of 6th St. and the downtown drive facility.

“INB is where I have met so many influential people. My colleagues, as well as my customers, have been the driving force of my success here at INB,” Cayla says. “This company gives me the tools to be successful in all aspects of life. From work-life balance to a collaborative and innovative culture, INB has given me the opportunity to grow and learn within my various roles over the years.”

“As a mother of three boys, the wife of an amazing man, school board member, and now VP, the bank has been there allowing me to accomplish my goals and cheering for me every step of the way. There’s no better place to work!” she added.

More Education Ahead

As a new VP, Cayla, NMLS #662877, looks forward to future exciting projects and opportunities with INB, from attending the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin in Madison over the next few years to implementing new solutions to improve the lives of her customers.

“I am looking forward to many more years of helping minimize financial pressures in my customers’ lives and the development of my staff,” she says.
