Skye KretzingerSkye Kretzinger is changing the face of agriculture for the better. Living to serve is the FFA’s motto, and Skye believes positive acts create your purpose. She serves today as her chapter’s vice president. Skye has won many ag awards including the 2015 and 2016 Ag Science Fair, U of I top 5 Science Fair winner and Women Changing the Face of Agriculture for 2015 and 2016. She’s also earned the FFA Greenhand, a chapter degree. She is busy now completing her state degree.

She can add Mount Pulaski Senior of the Month to her long list of accomplishments. She is student council president and senior class secretary. Skye is also a member of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA), yearbook committee, Spirit squad, Legacy Leader and played basketball during the 2013-2014 season.

Skye is currently undecided on her major and college, but plans to pursue a degree in agriculture.

The February Senior of the Month is the daughter of Joe and Tiffany Kretzinger of Chestnut. She was selected for this honor based on the criteria of scholarship, leadership, service, and character.

The Senior of the Month Program is sponsored by Johnson True Value Hardware. Monthly winners receive a $50 award paid to the college they plan to attend. They are also in the running for the $500 Senior of the Year Award sponsored by Illinois National Bank.
