Heather McArty hadn’t originally planned on her lifelong career in finance. It began with a job in data entry that eventually took her into various positions as a loan processor, loan officer, district mortgage manager, private banking specialist, investment and insurance salesperson, and a regional retail banking manager.
Heather now serves as assistant vice president and branch manager at INB in Fairmount, where she enjoys working in conjunction with a one-of-a-kind staff that takes pride in its work individually, helping the branch to succeed collectively. “I appreciate the warm banking experience that INB offers, which allows us to really connect and get to know our clientele and do what is best for them personally, without demanding sales expectations,” Heather says.
Heather is married to Chip, and they have three children. Their youngest child, a high-schooler, still keeps them busy with her full ice skating and cheerleading schedule. The family enjoys camping together in their RV, which is permanently set up at a lake two hours from their home.
Heather has a passion for travel and mission work. Her favorite trip has been Peru, where her mission group visited multiple orphanages and fitted every child for a new pair of shoes. Heather and her daughter have become involved in the Appalachia Service Project, traveling to repair homes for families in need in North Carolina and West Virginia.
Heather is also dedicated to community initiatives and services organizations. She serves as director at her local food pantry, as a Make-A-Wish wish granter and as a Bridges Group leader at the Women’s Care Center.
