Illinois National Bank Announces Opening of South Sixth Street Branch

5/10/2002

The Illinois National Bank branch located at 2849 South Sixth Street is now open. Richard K. McCord, president and CEO of Illinois National Bank (INB) in Springfield, announced the opening today. This is the third Springfield branch for INB. A fourth location will open soon at 2450 North Dirksen Parkway, doubling the number of INB branches in Springfield, and bringing the total number of branch locations to five. INB also owns and operates the First National Bank in Fairmount. Construction of the two new branches began last year.

“Our third anniversary is rapidly approaching, and our commitment to excellent customer service and convenience is stronger than ever,” according to McCord. “Over the past three years we’ve added new technology for our customers interested in on-line banking opportunities. We continue to add new products, and competitive loan and deposit rates and requested services, such as local mortgage servicing, are all part of the Illinois National Bank portfolio now available. We’re proud to be the first financial institution in this market to build two new branches at the same time. The north and south branch locations are located in high traffic areas, making access to INB easier for our customers.”

Formal grand opening ceremonies are planned during the month of June.
