Northpointe Branch to Close October 2nd.

5.20.2015 Bank News

At 5:00 p.m. on October 2nd, 2015, our Northpointe Branch located at 1021 East Hawthorne Road will close. This was a very difficult decision for INB. The Northpointe facility is very old and we would need to build a new facility to stay in that location. Our Francis Branch location was recently built that can also serve our Northpointe customers and serve as a financial center for the Spokane Northside market.

All services offered at this branch will be available at our Francis Branch, located at 518 West Francis Avenue. The Francis Branch also includes a drive-thru ATM and is open on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Your banking needs can be serviced at this or any of our other convenient locations. For other locations of INB branches, please call (509) 456-8888 or toll free at (888) 509-7922.

Customers may also utilize our electronic banking services. These services include online banking, online bill pay, mobile banking and mobile deposit capture. Further information on this can be seen HERE or visit a branch to have our employees set you up and give you a demonstration of these electronic services. It’s banking 24/7 without visiting a branch!

All deposit accounts will be transferred to our Francis Branch location. No changes will be necessary on your part for the transfer.

Safe deposit box customers can come in to our Northpointe Branch prior to 5:00 p.m. on October 2nd to close their box and move it to our Francis Branch. After 5:00 p.m. on October 2nd all safe deposit boxes will be moved by armed security guards and armored car service to our Francis Branch.

FAQ's

Why is Inland Northwest Bank (INB) closing its Northpointe Branch on October 2nd, 2015?

This was a very difficult decision for INB. INB operates in a very competitive business and it is important for us to ensure the long-term viability of the Bank. Transaction counts are down in branches nationwide as more people adopt mobile banking and mobile deposit. Closing the Northpointe Branch will enable us to better position INB for future growth and will help us to achieve the growth strategy and model adopted by the Board of Directors.

Is INB having financial difficulty? Is that why you are closing the Northpointe Branch?

INB is profitable and well capitalized. This decision centered around the fact that our Northpointe location would need a new building if we were to remain in that location. We have another branch on Francis that was recently built that could serve the Northpointe market and save the extensive cost of a new building at our current Northpointe location.

How can I conduct business with INB if I don’t go to another branch location?

INB offers a full range of online and mobile services, which will enable you to manage your accounts online or by using your mobile device. Businesses may also utilize our cash management services such as courier services or merchant capture for depositing checks. More information about these convenient and easy to use services is available on our website or by visiting any of our branches. Our Northpointe employees would be happy to assist you with any questions on these services and to help you sign up.

Where should I go if I need in-person service? Where are the closest locations?

Our Francis Branch (518 W Francis Avenue) and Ruby Branch (2110 N Ruby Street) are conveniently located nearby. Please refer to a list of branch locations HERE for additional information and details.

What do I do about my safe deposit box?

You may transfer the contents of your box to any of our other locations without any charge. On October 2nd, the safe deposit boxes at Northpointe will be transferred by security guards and armored car service to the Francis Branch location.

Will the closure have any effect on my accounts?

No, your accounts will remain “as is” and will not be impacted by the closure.

Does this affect my FDIC Insurance?

No. All deposits on hand at any INB branch location are collectively insured under current FDIC limits. Ask an INB banker for details if you have additional questions.

Where will the staff from the Northpointe Branch be relocated?

Initially, the employees will relocate to our Francis Branch at 518 W Francis Avenue. They will be there to assist you and to introduce you to our other employees there.
