Though born and raised on the south side of Chicago, Kenny Mitchell traded in the Windy City for the smaller city of Peoria in 2009 and has made his home in central Illinois.

“I wanted a career change at the time, so I secured my life and health insurance license. In 2011, I added my first investment license,” Kenny shares.

Now, he has joined INB’s Peoria office as an Infinex Investment Advisor Representative for INB Wealth.

Kenny first learned about the opportunity to join INB from a recruiter and was intrigued to learn more about the bank. He immediately became interested in being part of INB’s growing team.

“I’m excited about working at INB because the people are all nice, and the environment is team-oriented,” he says. “As an institution, the bank is young and local, and we are constantly expanding and reaching new clients every day to help make banking and financial planning easier for them.”

Kenny has extensive experience in employer enrollments in retirement plans and helping clients who are changing employment with rollovers and retirement planning, as well as other financial planning like life insurance and long-term care planning.

Outside of the office, Kenny has many interests. He just started taking piano lessons a few months ago and is planning a garden for the warmer season. And, although he and his wife don’t currently have any placements, they are licensed foster parents.

He also enjoys trying new home improvement projects and reading or listening to audiobooks.

“I’m thrilled to be joining INB’s team and getting more involved with both INB and the greater Peoria community,” Kenny says.
