Thanks to INB Checking, Car Troubles, Locked Doors Don’t Stop Our Team

You know it’s going to be one of those days when your car breaks down on the way to work. Our Chatham Branch Operations Supervisor Adrian Lance had one of those days recently.  Luckily, he not only works for INB, he banks with INB and was able to use the roadside assistance program available to our Power and Power Plus checking account customers as part of the BaZing benefits.Car with flat tire

Here’s Adrian’s story in his own words:

“Yesterday, on my way to work, my car started having problems, and I ended up stuck on the side of the road. I called BaZing’s Roadside Assistance. I knew without a doubt they would be able to help me get my vehicle to a shop. I called the number, and they immediately texted me a link to locate my vehicle and tell them the address of where I wanted it towed to.

“Within minutes, the towing company called me to confirm the location. Throughout the process, I received regular updates with the tow truck’s estimated arrival. I had a family member pick me up and by the time I was at work I had received a final text that the car had been picked up by the towing company. Knowing that I had BaZing, I never had to worry about how to get my car off the side of the road.”

Locked Door Doesn’t Stop Homework from Happening

Sarah Phalen, INB’s president and CEO, shares her story of how BaZing’s services saved her son from a missing class assignment.

“Last fall, my son lost his keys.  His car was parked in the driveway…locked… and his book bag with all his homework and his uniform for a soccer game the next day were in the locked car. 

“Sunday night, after looking everywhere we realized that we were not able to get into the car.  I wanted him to do homework, and he wanted to be sure he could play in his game the next day and needed the uniform. 

“So, at 11 p.m., I called BaZing’s toll free number and asked for a locksmith. Within an hour, a man arrived at our house and was able to get into the locked car. The neighbors were probably not very happy as the security system on the car went off to alert us that someone had broken into the car; it continued to go off for 15 minutes.  Since we didn’t have the keys we had to wait for the alarm to simply shut off on its own, but at least my son got his uniform, his books and his homework. BaZing took care of us late at night and dispatched someone to help free of charge.”
