Senior Vice President, Business Solutions

Amanda Klein has done it all in the banking industry.

When she became a teller in 1998, she immediately found a career path she loved – which then led to her taking on roles of personal banker, branch manager, small business lender, commercial payments, treasury officer and more.

“I have always loved connecting with people at the bank, learning their story and how I could help them,” she says. “When someone tells you their story and you’re able to help and recommend the best solution to make life easier for them, that is the most gratifying thing when you are a banker.”

That drive to make life easier for her customers is exactly what led Amanda to INB. She has recently joined the bank as VP, Business Solutions, serving our Peoria, Bloomington and Champaign markets.Amanda Klein photo

INB’s mission is to make banking easier, and Amanda recognized that in our daily operations and client relationships.

“We get things done here,” she says. “I appreciate how I can ease my customers’ cash flow and help make their life easier with all of our technology offerings. That’s what immediately made INB different for me.”

Leadership and serving the community

Amanda grew up in rural Peoria County. She attended community college with Illinois Central College in East Peoria and received her associates in marketing/sales management. She went on to obtain her bachelor’s degree in marketing and master’s degree in organizational leadership from Indiana Wesleyan University.

“Marketing and leadership studies complimented what I enjoy most, networking with others and helping people in our community,” Amanda shares. “I came from a humble background; my father was a welder and my mother worked in the municipality space. My parents taught my sister and me to be very active in the community. They served on the local school board, service clubs, not for profits, and our church.”

Amanda looks forward to getting more involved with the Bloomington, Peoria and Champaign communities as she settles into her new role. She also loves spending time with her family and friends when not in the office. Amanda and her husband have one son, and the family loves to travel, especially to the beach.

She is also an accomplished pianist who enjoys writing music, as well as reading and “learning new things whenever possible.”

Local bank, personal relationships

Amanda has been quick to jump into learning about business solutions at INB and start building relationships with business customers. As a local to Central Illinois, she knows it makes a difference that INB is a community bank.

“When we say we are local, we really are. Our turnaround time is accommodating to make things happen for business owners, and we take a personal interest in making sure that they are successful in what they do,” she says.

“Moreover, we take an interest in our communities. We don’t just acknowledge the heavy hitters in the communities, but all of the organizations that are trying to make a difference where we live and serve.
