When a former coworker suggested that Jason Routzahn apply to a new job opening at INB, Jason decided to take his advice -- and that kicked off what has now become a 14-year career working for INB.
“The co-worker I’d worked with at another bank told me about many of the ‘perks’ of working at INB, and I already knew many of the employees from working with them in the past, so it quickly felt like a family of friends,” Jason says.
Jason, now a mortgage loan funder, was drawn to INB by the friendly, helpful staff and the overall culture, which he immediately knew was unique as compared to previous employers.
“One thing I noticed most about INB when I started in the loan services department in 2005 was the culture was so much different than other places I’d worked. Everyone was so open to new ideas and ways of doing things, which has led us to being one of the more innovative banks around for the last 20 years,” he says.
Culture of Community Involvement
Part of the culture that INB has thrived on is community involvement. Staff members are encouraged to get involved with causes and activities important to them, from serving on nonprofit boards to running in local 5Ks.
“From the time I started, employees have been given opportunities to participate in community service and bank functions, which has helped make all employees bond in ways other than in the office setting -- not to mention helping INB be a more visible part of the community. This, in turn, helps to open doors for more business relationships,” Jason says. “This sets INB apart from other banks in the area.”
Jason has been proud of the way INB has grown, not just in size but through the adoption of new technology.
“Our state-of-the-art technology keeps us ahead of the changing processes that come with current banking regulations,” he shares.
“I’m happy to be a part of the INB family after 14 years and proud to be a part of bank that’s had such a positive effect in the community for the past 20 years.”
