Evan Westlake, Senior Vice PresidentEvan Westlake was recently promoted to Senior Vice President with Illinois National Bank.

Evan’s connection with INB began many years ago. After having been a customer at INB since he was young, Evan felt INB would be a good fit for a job, so he started working in 2004 as a part-time teller while in college. He continued that position through winter and summer breaks from school.

During his first finance course at the University of Illinois, Evan realized that he wanted to pursue a career in banking and received his bachelor’s degree in finance before returning to Springfield.

After a year working for a regional bank, Evan knew he wanted to be back at INB. Evan’s second INB adventure started in July 2008 when he was hired as a credit analyst in the Commercial Lending Department. After two-plus years as a credit analyst, he moved into his current position as commercial loan officer, where he has been for the last eight years.

In his role today, Evan not only appreciates building client relationships but also enjoys the challenges of financial analysis in commercial banking. He thrives on formulating customized financial plans to assist a wide variety of businesses.

“In his time at INB, Evan has fostered numerous client relationships, taken on innovative new projects and helped Central Illinois businesses to grow,” said John Wilson, INB’s chief lender and executive vice president. “Most recently, Evan was instrumental in the growth of INB’s Champaign market, which is flourishing now with the opening of our Champaign branch housing retail, commercial and mortgage services.”

Evan’s leadership and commitment to the Central Illinois community has been exemplary.

He currently serves as board chair for the Board of Directors of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Illinois, where he has been helping to oversee the expansion of the organization with a new Ronald McDonald House in downtown Peoria. He also volunteers for organizations such as Children’s Miracle Network, Cub Scouts Pack 330 and the Foundation for Ichthyosis and Related Skin Types.

Evan was a member of Leadership Springfield’s class of 2012 and has been selected by Springfield Business Journal’s 40 Under 40. He is currently an active member in the American Business Club and Young Philanthropists giving circle within the Community Foundation for the Land of Lincoln.

In addition to his bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Evan also holds an MBA from University of Illinois-Springfield. He and his wife Courtney live in Sherman with their two children, and his family enjoys boating, hunting and traveling together. Evan’s NMLS# is 662918.
