Ashlie Midiri has been dancing since she was three years old and continued on to dance competitively in high school and college.
Now she is spreading that same love of dancing to children around the community with the opening of Studio M Dance Centre in Chatham.
The studio offers a “little bit of everything,” Midiri said. The most popular class is hip-hop, which is offered for both adults (with a cardio focus) and kids. Studio M also holds ballet, tap, creative movement, jazz, and Mommy and Me classes, as well as a class called Chance 2 Dance for dancers with special needs.
Through the summer, Studio M hosted several week-long dance camps both during the day and in the evenings.
Classes are now starting up for the fall season, and new students can get $10 off registration and a free trial for the first class through the BaZing program with Illinois National Bank.* Checking account holders can simply download the BaZing app on their smartphones to get access to this special offer.
Studio M Dance Centre also offers princess-themed birthday parties that include a 2-hour party with dancing, games, and crafts, as well as a tea party and a photoshoot complete with dresses and tiaras. Through BaZing, you can also take $10 off when treating your daughter to a princess tea birthday party!*
“Our studio is a family affair, run alongside my mom and my sister,” Midiri said. “We have so many new and creative ideas for our students. My love of dance and my love of teaching children go hand in hand in running this wonderful studio.”
